My Lord,
I humbly thank you to forward me in going to the British settlements in America or to the Cape of Good Hope. As I am informed there are settlers going to the Cape of Good Hope Hon'd Lord as I serv'd on bord HM ships Gibberalter, Sterling Castle &c for seven years and was discharged at the Peace and being without labour I memorial your Lordship to grant me my request as I am wel able to labour.
