Sir,
I wrote to you some time since respecting the Colony that was establishing at the back of the Cape of Good Hope when you wrote in answer the season was too far advanced. I now find by a weekly paper there has been an official advertizement in some of the daily papers respecting that Colony but the particulars the paper I saw does not mention therefore I should be obliged if you would give me them and whether I should be allowed to take utensils for my business, which is a Tallow Chandler and I have likewise a knowledge of husbandry but should suppose my business would be serviceable both to myself & the Colony.
I am Sir
Your obed't humble serv't
