Sir

I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 30th December 1819 and loose not one moment in complying with the directions therein contained, and I enclose herewith the Letter addressed to Lord Charles SOMERSET.

I am sorry to give you so much trouble but beg to state that the person by the name of SCOTT mentioned in my last had been insirted thro' mistake he having declined going with the party at that time, it ought to have been Wm. COLLIER, by trade a Laborer Aged 20 years which alteration I trust will be complyed with.

Your letter of the 3rd Inst, with its enclosures I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of on yesterday. I loose not one moment in filling up the returns required by you and by beg herewith to transmit them. The persons mentioned herein are absolutely on board with me therefore no other alterations except Death can possibly occur.
