            Greenwich Hospital, a painting by J.M.W. Turner in 1809. Greenwich Hospital was a home for retired sailors of the Royal Navy, which operated from 1692 to 1869. Its buildings were later used by the Royal Naval College, Greenwich and are now known as the Old Royal Naval College. Charles CRAUSE RN married Emily BONIFACE in 1809, the year this picture was painted. Their son Percy attended Greenwich Hospital School. Daniel FARLEY also appears on the Greenwich Hospital Paybook of Naval Out-pensioners, and Joseph GARLAND was a pensioner of Greenwich Hospital.
