These two pages were described by David Walker as: Circa 1865 - papers in an old family bible originally belonging to my great-grandfather, Joseph Walker Jr, who married Dorothy Driver, daughter of Edward Driver and Ann Thackwray.
Although initialed "W.T." they are clearly not originals in the hand of William Thackwray. The paper was manufactured long after William Thackwray's death. My interpretation is that Joseph Walker Jr was collecting information about his own and his wife's ancestry and in about 1865 made a copy of documents in the possession of the Thackwray or Driver family. The bible flyleaves contain a detailed statement of descent in his paternal line and he clearly had the interest to have corresponded with the vicar of the parish from which his own family originated and it is very likely that he would have obtained information about his wife's ancestry from his father- and mother-in-law.
