Sir,
I am informed that there is a number of inhabitants wanted to inhabitt the Cape of Good Hope as settlers. We the undersigned wish to excep of this offer but at the same time we should to no [know] what terms we are to proceed there upon as we have family to take along with us. I hope Sir you will have the goodness to send me word at what time you may guage that we shall embark and at what time and you will ever oblige your humble petitioners
