SUDDEN DEATH
Last night Capt. BRETON, of HM 74th Highlanders, suddenly dropt down dead in Port Elizabeth. The awfully sudden demise of this lamented officer was almost wholly unattended, we believe, with any premonitory symptoms of his approaching summons to another world. The uncertainty of human life never received a more terrible practical illustration. The funeral of the late Capt. BRETON takes place today.
