MARRIED at Cape Town, Griffin NICHOLAS Esq, of Ashton Reynes in the County of Wilts, and Lieutenant in the 62nd Regiment of Foot, to Matilda Ann BIRD, youngest daughter of Lieut-Colonel BIRD, many years Secretary to the Government of the Cape of Good Hope. The ceremony was performed by the Right Reverend Dr. Griffith, Bishop of Paloeopolis, Vicat Apostolic of the Colony, and subsequently by the Rev George Hough MA, Senior Colonial Chaplain.
